Jessica AlvaradoJessica Alvarado, Director, eec

Jessica leads all sales and marketing efforts as well as the day-to-day operations of the eec.  She also oversees the collaboration with the DMA on the sales, marketing, programming and logistics of the annual Email Evolution Conference.  Prior to the eec, Jessica worked for the ANA a Marketing Association for six years.  Jessica is a graduate of Binghamton University, New York where she earned her BA in Psychology and a minor in Marketing.

Anita AbseyAnita Absey, eec Co-Chair

Anita is a 20+year-veteran of the interactive/direct marketing industry having spent that time leading teams of people to help clients create profitable target marketing programs. A self-proclaimed "data junkie," she has helped literally hundreds of the world’s smartest marketers successfully integrate data and technology for their customer acquisition and customer relationship management programs. Anita has been at Return Path since 2003, and is the SVP of Global Sales and Services.  Before Return Path Anita spent much of her career at Acxiom, and Abacus Direct (later DoubleClick).  She holds a BA in Economics from Fordham University.

Anita is looking forward to working much more closely with the eec as we continue to strive to be the voice for email and digital marketers, in an increasingly complex, multichannel  world. Capitalizing on the energy and enthusiasm of the leadership team, as well as the membership, she looks forward to helping provide more education, networking, and other opportunities to our community.

Jeanniey MullenJeanniey Mullen, Founder Emeritus

Jeanniey is the EVP and CMO of Zinio, the leading global online publishing and distribution services company.

Jeanniey Mullen founded the Email Experience Council in 2006. She is the Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for Zinio, the global leader for digital publishing products and services. She holds the same position for VIVmag, the first fully interactive and all digital lifestyle magazine for women. An accomplished expert in the email and online marketing world, Jeanniey is recognized as a pioneer and visionary, advocating for and driving change that redefines the impact of various marketing channels. Prior to Zinio and VIV, Jeanniey was the Senior Partner and Global Executive Director of the Email Marketing and Digital Dialogue Practice at OgilvyOne worldwide.

A digital entrepreneur, Jeanniey founded and ran her own interactive agency as well as an online entertainment marketing company from 2001 to 2004. Prior to that, Jeanniey started the first agency-run email marketing division at Grey Direct. She has also held a number of roles at JCPenney, spanning an eight-year period. Jeanniey is known as one of the most well-respected voices in the world of email, digital publishing and online consumer brand awareness. She is a columnist for ClickZ, has published numerous whitepapers and best practice guides, has appeared in the Wall Street Journal and New York Times numerous times. She is on the board of advisors for a number of online marketing companies and events, and is a frequent keynote speaker for various companies and organizations, including the Direct Marketing Association, Shop.org, MediaPost, Luxury Interactive, IBM, NatureMade and the American Association of Publishing.

Jeanniey's book, Email Marketing: An Hour a Day (Nov. 24, 2008), was published through Wiley Publishing. She is currently working on an anthology project, What Business Needs Now, which will feature top direct marketing experts.
