As the Canadian Chapter of the Email Experience Council, we will be working to provide best practices for permission-based email programs to Canadian companies, government and not-for-profit organizations. As with the overall eec mandate, we want to help provide insight to international marketers targeting Canadians and to Canadian marketers targeting international markets. To achieve our goals, we will disseminate eec information locally and provide a voice back to the eec, review past eec events which have shown success in other chapters and work to duplicate this success locally. We also plan to provide learning sessions, events and articles based on local experience for Canadian professional organizations interested in email marketing best practices.
The Canadian chapter will be led by Chris Carder - Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of ThinData.

Working with Canada's leading brands to manage their email marketing campaigns, Chris and his partners have built ThinData to a thriving team of 50 e-marketing professionals. ThinData's email strategies and technology are employed by organizations such as: Aeroplan, Air Canada, BMO, Delta Hotels, Points International, Blockbuster Canada, TSN, Direct Energy and Canada Savings Bonds.
Chris is also Co-Chair of the International White Ribbon Campaign's Board of Directors, having helped that organization grow to more than 50 countries worldwide utilizing his online strategies and technology.
He is also a two-time Canadian New Media Awards winner for Employer and Volunteer of the Year.
